History of Maranatha Christian
High School,Lahore, Pakistan.
Maranatha Christian High School was founded in March 2021 by Rev. Dr. Naeem Nasir with a vision to provide free education to Christian children in Pakistan. The school was established in response to the educational discrimination and hardships faced by Christian students, where many are neglected and deprived of quality education.
From the very beginning, the school was a beacon of hope for the Christian community. Starting with over 250 students, it quickly became a source of joy and empowerment for underprivileged families who had longed for a tuition-free, Christ-centered education. This initiative was not just about academics—it was about breaking the cycle of poverty and illiteracy that has kept many Christian families struggling for generations.
The vision for Maranatha Christian Schools was born out of urgent necessity. Many Christian children in Pakistan either drop out or never attend school due to discrimination and lack of opportunities. Without education, they are left with limited prospects, often forced into menial labor or financial hardship. Maranatha Christian Schools aims to change this reality by providing a safe and nurturing environment where students can learn, grow, and develop a strong foundation in both academics and faith.
At Maranatha Christian Schools, we follow the government syllabus to ensure our students receive a recognized and accredited education. However, our top priority is Bible education. We believe that spiritual growth is just as important as academic success, so we have integrated strong biblical learning programs into our school structure. These include:
✅ Daily Bible Classes – Teaching students the Word of God as part of their regular curriculum.
✅ Sunday School Programs – Engaging children in biblical learning through songs, stories, and interactive lessons.
✅ Memory Verse Challenges – Encouraging students to memorize and apply Scripture in their daily lives.
✅ Bible Study Groups – Helping older students dive deeper into God’s Word and understand its teachings.
✅ Church Involvement –As Maranatha Christian Schools operates under the umbrella of Good Samaritan Church, our students actively participate in church services, youth fellowships, and discipleship programs. This connection helps them grow spiritually, develop a strong Christian foundation, and engage in worship, prayer meetings, and community service within the church.
✅ Christian Leadership Training – Raising young leaders who can serve in their communities and churches.
✅ Prayer and Worship Sessions – Providing a spirit-filled environment where students can grow in their faith.
Despite limited resources, Maranatha Christian Schools have continued to expand, even conducting classes on rooftops in winter for sunlight and without air conditioning in the extreme summer heat. These challenges have not discouraged the students, teachers, or families—instead, they have strengthened their determination.
As part of its mission, Maranatha Christian Schools also serves as an inspiration to Christian communities nationwide, proving that Christian education is possible even in difficult circumstances. The goal is not only to educate but to ignite a movement—encouraging other Christian groups in Pakistan to establish their own schools and ensure that no Christian child is left behind.
Through faith, perseverance, and the unwavering support of believers worldwide, Maranatha Christian Schools continues to shine as a light in the darkness, bringing hope, knowledge, and a future to Christian children in Pakistan.
